"Of Prisoners, Wandering Souls And Cruel Fears" was composed and arranged by Canaan between 2009 and 2012. Recorded, assembled and disassembled by Mauro and Nico at the Kanaanian Lair over time.

Produced, mixed and mastered at Noise Factory between March the 20th & April the 25th, 2012. Brains, hearts and hands in unison.

A mention is due to Alda Merini, whose words always shine like diamonds in the mud. Another mention goes to Luca Matteo and Gianni whose presence somehow drift in these songs.

The headings in the tracklisting are taken from the disc labels and do not appear in the tracklisting.

The concept of the album is that each person of CD 1 turns into the corresponding prisoner on CD 2 mentioned on each lyrics page, e.g. "On CD # 2, The Lighthouse Keeper turns into Prisoner # 1".

Released in a 6-panel Digisleeve with two pockets for the CDs on the left and right panels (opening outside); includes a 32-page booklet with lyrics glued on the middle panel.
