This is a true piece of disco history uncovered: Never before available to the public, these alternative versions are so simple and have such a minimalistic groove that these must have been the demo versions before they got remixed and issued on Salsoul records.
DP-002 is being remastered and restored from the original acetate, so you can hear the pure underground acetate sound as it was played in the discos.
Sunshine Sound provided services for Midsong Records, Red Greg and other companies which had offices in the same building. Salsoul Records was just a few blocks away in midtown New York.
Sunshine Sound who provided tape editing services and made duplicate tape/acetate copies as requested and demo tapes for aspiring musicians or from record companies.

Candido was actually a Cuban percussionist who moved to New York in the early 50’s. He was mostly into Jazz but also made some disco music in the 70’s like Thousand Finger Man, Jingo, and Dancin’ and Prancin’.
