The Alphabet Business Concern is better known as the Cardiacs chimes; it is nothing to do with Home of Fadeless Splendour.

Each of the repeat unlisted tracks are their corresponding single versions; these are largely the same as their album versions outside of some minor sections and a slightly different mix.

The version of Tarred and Feathered included here begins with a different version to the Cardiacs chimes as is present in the 'The Alphabet Business Concern' track. It ends with an extended version of the dialogue later used at the end of the same track on Songs for Ships and Irons, spaced apart by silence.
