The "Christmas Portrait" album included here is a compilation of that album and An Old-Fashioned Christmas.

"Lovelines" contains four tracks from sessions for Karen Carpenter's solo album which were unreleased at the time of this box set's compiling and appear here as Carpenters tracks.

Each album has a plain white inner paper sleeve and is placed in individual card wallet pages with "notes" by Richard Carpenter on one side and the track listing/credits on the other. The final wallet page contains a double sided fold out poster which has an essay interspersed with pictures titled "words" by Ray Coleman on one side and a portrait of Karen and Richard on the reverse. All albums are in chronological order and the individual pages bound together by plastic screws in a cloth book style binding with gold/red silk screen printed text on front cover and spine. On inside front cover is a contents list and stamped limited edition number. The book itself is housed in a card box with envelope style flaps at each end.
