Volume 1 (Complete Recorded Works In Chronological Order June 14, 1929 To Late November / Early December 1929) by Charley Patton

Artists

Album Info

Release Date: 2013

Labels: Document Records, Third Man Records

Misprint with incorrect running order.

Due to a mistake in the mastering process, some early copies of volume 1 of Charley Patton had track A1 be followed by what were supposed to be tracks B2 to B8; similarly, they had what were supposed to be tracks A2 to A8 on the B side, followed by what was supposed to be take B1.

In addition, these copies misspell Patton's first name "Charley" as "Charlie" on the back jacket and jacket spine.

The correct track list, as released on Complete Recorded Works In Chronological Order Volume 1, was supposed to be:
A1 Mississippi Boweavil Blues
A2 Screamin' And Hollerin' The Blues
A3 Down The Dirt Road Blues
A4 Pony Blues
A5 Banty Rooster Blues
A6 It Won't Be Long
A7 Pea Vine Blues
A8 Tom Rushen Blues
B1 A Spoonful Blues
B2 Shake It And Break It (But Don't Let It Fall Mama)
B3 Prayer Of Death - Part 1
B4 Prayer Of Death - Part 2
B5 Lord I'm Discouraged
B6 Lord I'm Discouraged (Alt. Take)
B7 I'm Goin' Home
B8 Going To Move To Alabama
