Chicks on Speed formerly an art project created an live-art performance named "I Wanna Be A DJ...Baby!"
They stood behind DJ decks and smashed records while a sound collage tape was playing.
For this art project they put together a "box set" with a
- T-shirt
- a cassette with two sound collages
- a (fake) cardboard 12" record in a white sleeve
- a fake interview with their "band"
- a badge
- a sticker
- a poster
During this time they met DJ Upstart (a.k.a. Peter Wacha) of Disko B record label who joined their freshly started record label, Go Records, which later become Chicks on Speed Records.
