Never Felt So Free (Legacy Edition) by Children Of The Day

Album Info

Release Date: 2012

Label: Born Twice Records

Mastered from sealed vinyl, but the quiet nature of the music cannot overcome the natural pops and cracks. The original master tapes are long gone. This is the best mastering from sealed copies that the label could get. 1977 Maranatha! Music classic, Never Felt So Free signaled a big change in direction for the group. The new sounds reflect the orchestrated easy listening, pop/MOR and soft jazz stance typical of the Light label. As far as smooth mellow stuff goes, Children Of The Day still emerges better than most of their competition. Catchy melodies can be gleaned from songs like ‘Born Again (Never Felt So Free)’ and the jazzy ‘Givin’ To Jesus’. Includes appearances by John Mehler of Love Song (drums), Bob Ayala (guitar) and Alex MacDougall of Daniel Amos (percussion). Adapted from The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott. This Born Twice Records reissue features the album digitally remastered and on CD for the first time ever, packaged in a four panel, full color digipak. For fans of 2nd Chapter of Acts, Love Song, Mustard Seed Faith, and The Carpenters.
