The outstanding violin used by Claude Chalhoub is a violin by Antonio Stradivari on extended loan through the generous efforts of The Stradivari Society® of Chicago. The Stradivari Society® is a unique organization that supports the very highest level of string playing by assisting Patrons who own the most precious antique Italian instruments and choose to make them available to artists of exceptional talent and ability.All music written and arranged by Claude Chalhoub, except track #2 "Gnossienne" based on Eric Satie's "Gnossienne No. 1" (arranged by Claude Chalhoub) and track #7 "Two Angels" based on the 2nd movement of the "Sonata Breve" by Boghos Gelalian. Additional orchestration on "Oriental Images" by Chris Guardino.
Recorded by Jacquie Turner and Michael Brook at the Sound Factory and the Lavenderia [sic], August 2000. Additional recordings for "Melancholia" and "Red Desert" by Christoph Bracher and Claude Chalhoub at the Conference Room in London.
