A series of recordings from Egypt, a monographic work about the sound of the muslim prayers, mainly exploring the acoustic reverberation of amplified muezzin's and imam's voices through the urban and country landscape. From the call for prayer, where thousands of cheap loudspeakers sound together generating an apocalyptic soundscape, to public funerals, where feedbacks and echoes introduce warped and dub elements to the melodies.-Claudio Curciotti
