"The material contained on this compact disc represents early experiments in structured and non-structured music. The harsher selections from Body Samples were recorded live onto cassette tape in late 1983. Mid-1984 a fourtrack reel to reel machine was aquired, and the first recordings are included here - these are the more textural, layered pieces from Art Barbeque and the aforementioned Body Samples. Because of the nature of the recording apparatus that was used, the sound quality of this material varies. For best results, this disc should be played very loud, since this was the way the music was produced."
