A Song For Every Season by Copper Family

Artists

Album Info

Label: Leader

Orange label reissue. With some exceptions, Leader used orange labels with black text from 1975 to 1977. Early releases of this set from 1971 - 72 carried dark blue labels with silver text: see Copper Family - A Song For Every Season; turquoise labels with black text were used from 1972 - 74; light blue labels were used for a brief period around 1975: see Copper Family - A Song For Every Season.

Hard cardboard box with brown lettering on the spine. Back of box differs from earlier versions in a number of respects, including its presentation of the song-list across rather than down the box; a reference to the paperback edition of Bob Copper's book and not just the hardback edition; a reference to the sampler edition Copper Family - Tracks From "A Song For Every Season" (A Sampler); and reference to Leader's Halifax rather than earlier London address.

In keeping with Leader releases from this period, the back of the box reads "Manufactured and distributed by Transatlantic Records Ltd". Likely to have been distributed with the booklet shown at Copper Family - A Song For Every Season, although older style booklet stock with London address may also have been used.

Discs are numbered individually as LEA 4046, 4047, 4048 & 4049.

The Recordings were made at the home of Bob Copper, Peacehaven, Sussex.

Mastered at E.M.I.
