The full Basie Band is heard on 5 tracks (2, 4, 6, 7, 10) with Eddie Vinson guesting on alto saxophone. All other tracks are small group performances in trio (tracks 9, 11) or quartet formation (tracks 1, 3, 5, 8) by Count Basie and members of his rhythm section. On track 8 Eddie Vinson joins in on alto saxophone.

The CD label has the Pablo logo on red background added by "Pablo Live" - different from e.g. Count Basie, Big Joe Turner, Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson - Kansas City Shout, which (more correctly) only has "Pablo".
