County Conservation District is like traveling along an unpaved forest road in the fall. There are moments of serene meandering and some swerving around fallen woody debris. Side A is like an ambient Harvest. Monosyllabic minor key synth builds textures around field recordings of birds. Occasionally a creakiness riddles the calm like a train passing in the distance. Side B is a reminder of the north wind, which howls through the skeleton of a rust belt house, carrying disembodied voices. A certain paranoia fills the empty room, and the voices become both menacing and absurd, like a cat playing the piano in the middle of the night.

Both sides offer amble landscapes to explore, and all of it feels just like the season for which it's named.

Track B4 is the tape only track, it is a cover of "Pumpkin Gets A Snakebite" by Animal Collective.
