6. Érdeklődj az amerikai viszonyok és politika iránt!
7. Gyermekeidtől követeld meg, hogy magyarul is tanuljanak írni-olvasni!
8. Művelődés és haladás legyen a jelszavad!
9. Légy mértékletes szokásaidban!
10. Mindenkor tartsd szemed előtt az amerikai mondást: Help Yourself!

The Ten Commandments of Hungarian Immigrants in America (1905)
1. Be faithful to yourself, but don't forget your motherland.
2. Learn to speak English, but don't forget your mother tongue.
3. When you have been here long, acquire the civic rights.
4. Ask for the same wages as the American worker, but follow his standard of living as well.
5. Do not keep secret that you are Hungarian.
6. Take an interest in the American conditions and political affairs.
7. Make sure your children learn to read and write Hungarian, too.
8. Your slogan be: learning and progress.
9. Be moderate in your habits.
10. Keep remembering the American saying: Help Yourself!
