This album is the second part of The Inmost Light trilogy. A sticker on the album sleeve proclaims it to be "Hallucinatory Patripassianist Song". Thomas Ligotti is reading from his short story "Les Fleurs" at the end of the last track.Two versions were issued in 1996 both in a clear-tray jewel case: one with Silver writing on spine and the other with Gold. Includes a 16-page booklet with lyrics. Track durations do not appear on the release.

A death and a birth: Dorothy Ann Collins (1933-1995) and Seth Joseph Burgess Cox-Dorée (born 1995). I dedicate this album to one past and one future, and to that place where both shall meet.
