Release Date: 1993

Label: Anxious Records

This is the legendary promo tape of the album "Curkoo" reviewed in UK music magazine Select some months prior to the release. It's basically the same album that was finally released as "Cuckoo" on september 13 1993, but each side includes a low key electronic intro and outro with samples of American author Ken Kesey speaking (or rather rambling incoherently), hence the extended length of tracks A1, A5, B1 and B5. According to several interviews given by Curve at the time Mr Kesey was fine with the album being released this way but he wouldn't sign a contract, and therefore Curves record label forced them to remove the samples. At the time of release of the album Curves singer Toni Halliday swore in numerous interviews that they would eventually release the album with the samples intact sooner or later, but that still hasn't happened.
