This EP is compiled of fairly old beats from DJ Ezasscul, these beats originally had no intention of ever being released and are considered to be leftover beats from the 1st attempt at Jazz Meditation 2, DJ Ezasscul disliked these beats so much that he remade Jazz Meditation 2, this time renaming it to Jazz Meditation 2 - Mellow Soul which has been released with Libyus Music exclusively in Japan. Track 01 was originally named "Rest In The Sky" and was the 1st tribute DJ Ezasscul made for Nujabes. Track 02 is dedicated to one of DJ Ezasscul's close friend, Scott McLeish who died in the summer of 2009. Track 04 is a get well song for the father of Hip-Hop, DJ Kool Herc.
