"Behind the Beat" (also called "Behind the Beat: Hip Hop Home Studios" inside the cover) is a 156-page hardcover book written by Rafael Rashid (here as Raph Boogie) and featuring a 14-track limited edition mix CD by DJ Ransom in an envelope, affixed to the inside back cover of the book. The CD has "For promotional use only" written on the disc face.
