Side A
Crystal Corona - I asked Laraaji how he tunes his autoharp. He told me, I tried it out, added some guitar and made this track. (2020)
Improvisation for Modular Synth and Guitar (excerpt) - Jeff Williams brought a compact modular synth setup over to my apartment. We recorded an hour or so worth of improvising onto my Tascam 388 1/4” tape machine. I extracted these 7 minutes worth of repetitive guitar figures and synth sounds to include here (2016 or 2017).
Theme For Corona - An ominous and foreboding audio environment created in two tracks. The first was a cheap and terrible guitar synthesizer called a Suzuki Unisynth. The other track is another fun piece of cheap 1980s Japanese esoterica called a Yamaha Portasound PSS-680. Suzuki meets Yamaha. (2020)
Side B
Two Guitars - A short intro consisting of two tracks of acoustic guitar recorded on my iPhone (2020)
Our Love Is Here To Stay - Inspired by and reimagining jazz guitarist Johnny Smith’s rendition of the tune of the same name (2022)
P is Dead - Tad Ro brought his Juno 106 over to the apartment and we recorded this little jam over a Univox drum machine as a tribute to a departed friend who isn’t dead yet. I used an MXR flanger. (2017 or 2018)
Some Kind Of Reckoning - This was a cassette recording. A windswept icy tundra of distorted petulant arpeggios. (2020)
PFAFSAS: Piece for a few synthesizers and samples - A silly sound collage attempting to preserve various disjointed bits and pieces that I had on different tapes and liked.(2021)
