"November," "Traveler There is no Road," and "The Mystic Lamb" were originally commissioned by Vooruit Culture Center in Ghent, Belgium, and first performed by Ictus. They belong to a suite entitled "Flemish Primitives." "Porto Alegre" and "Wild Blue" were inspired by the writings of Eduardo Galeano and are part of a suite entitled "Turning The Tables." "Turning The Tables" was created with generous support from Chamber Music America's New Works: Creation and Presentation Program, funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
