Oriinally a roadie for the Spencer Davis Group, feat. Steve Winwood, Mason formed Traffic with Winwood in 1966, moving on to produce The Family and solo projects. Played with Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, George Harrison and Eric Clapton before returning to solo work in 1974
