"The first nine songs on this album were recorded for the BBC "In Concert" radio show in 1971 (sometime between the release of THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD and HUNKY DORY). The final song is a jam with Marc Bolan taken from Marc's own TV show "MARC", it was recorded only days before his tragic death."

These issues have insert that is full width of white card sleeve and approximately 3cm / 1 1/2 in. short of full height.
Later issues using the same artwork, have a reduced size insert.


Tracks A2, A4, A5, B1, B4 all later appeared on the official release David Bowie - Bowie At The Beeb from 2000 in much better quality. Official release dates these recordings from June 1971 "In Concert: John Peel Recorded 3.6.71 Broadcast 20.6.71"
