Text on vellum paper fold over:
"Dave.…on losing money down the 4-track
All songs were played on my brother Stephen's classical guitar - cool nylon strings and the lowest action around...it always sounds great. No Surprise was recorded in my room. Icky gurl-boy triangle was written in Ettalong, but this version was recorded in the bathroom of our noisy house in Pennant Hills. Percussion on this song consists of a cardboard box and a set of keys. 10:30 tuesday night is really a promo for Against The Grain (the radio show). The first thing I recorded with that song was the drum track, done on a bongo drum I bought for five Kwacha in Zambia when I was about ten. The guitar tracks were recorded in my room, and the vocals were recorded in the bathroom because the really high ceiling and tiled floor make for really nice acoustics. Shop around for the cheapest chrome 4-track tapes. I only pay $2 for mine. Thanks to Rich for making this whole release thing possible. Thanks Geoff, for inspiring us to go vinyl in the first place. Thanks to Adrian for letting us in on where the cheapo vinyl-pressing place actually is. Thanks to Meadowbank tafe art school for the free use of the photocopier and guillotine."
