Edition of 20.This release consists of two parts recorded over ten years after each other. The original recording by David Payne was released on Middle James Co. back on 01 January 2011 as David Payne – Real Too Real (MJC387) It was a cassette edition of 13 copies.
The tracks that David used were recorded December 2010 to 4-track and were pulled from various earlier sources. The recordings would eventually be used to create his Real (or Reel) series triptych of tapes.
The second parts are alto saxophone segments recorded by Rob Michalchuk, 21 March 2021. Those tracks were mixed with the original source material used to create MJC387.
