At the beginning of 1996, De Dikke Lul Band released the song Per Stoep (Lekker ding, Lekker ding) as a spicy parody on Per Spoor (Kedeng Kedeng) by Guus Meeuwis & Vagant. Meeuwis thought the parody was harmful to his image. Under pressure from summary proceedings, De Dikke Lul Band promised to remove these singles from the market. The band then recorded the song Guus Kom Naar Huus (Je Moeder Wil Je Spreken), an adaptation of Alexander Curly's original 1975 song Guus.
