I researched the history of the album.
The album was also released (later?) under the band name 'Stray Trolleys' as 'Barricades And Angels'

I asked Martin Newell: "... I was just surprised that none of the available sources and your biographies contain a reference to the band name 'The Dead Students', the album title 'Diminished Responsibility' and your stage name Rocco van Zoot, which was used at the time.
Martin answered: "... At the time I'd just signed a deal with an Indie record company.
They weren't interested in releasing an album. But I was impatient. I wanted people to hear it.
So we made 100 cassettes and sold it under this name.
Rocco Van Zoot was just me fooling around -as I still do - My early stage name in glam rock days was 'Zap',
If you have a Dead Students tape it was one of only 100. ever made. Even I don't have one."
