Album Info

Release Date: 1977

Label: Eji Records

It is rare that Delroy Wilson records, and when he does, it is an event. For Delroy possesses a unique vocal style that credits a freshness of approach .....

Born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1948, Delroy has been singing most of his life. His earliest known hit, 'I Shall Not Remove' appeared on Clement Dodd's Studio One label. Others have appeared on a variety of Jamaican labels, until 1970 when he had his biggest and most influential hit, "Better Must Come" which, in reflecting social consciousness, located the ambition and outreaches of the mass of the Jamaican poor. This tune received wide spread popularity and became the political anthem of the P.N.P. party, the present government of Jamaica.
This album partly expresses the themes that occupy Delroy's life. His most constant preoccupation has been the theme of Love. Listen to the music as this collection of numbers reflect past records in new and delightful versions, as it spans and surveys the human heart in all its possibility ....
