Tracks 1-5 are from the "Talk's Cheap" EP (originally released 1979).

Tracks 6-9 are from early 1978 recording sessions (produced two months after the band played their first gig).

Tracks 10-21 are live performances from early 1979, and tracks 22-24 were recorded live at the Cedar Lounge in September 1979. Tracks 25-27 from live performance at Blue Boot Fall, 1978. The live recordings (taken from unofficial live mixing board and audience cassette recordings) are rough, raw, and raunchy, capturing the sound and feel of unvarnished live punk rock.
