Dere Moans’ side of the split tape “Lax Myths” is a manic reinterpretation of lost tracks, played in real time with Maschine hardware, ultimately creating wandering, multifaceted pieces that often end up somewhere between vaporwave and harsh noise. The tracks were intended to be a live set before Covid. Dere Moans is Tony Lien, head of Bad Cake Records.

Everything heard on ”Essentially Negative” is sine wave, kick drum or voice. The short dynamic harsh noise pieces are inspired by Philip K Dick and the track titles are quotes from the author. Horselover Flats is Tim Thornton, who also releases music as Tiger Village and runs the Suite 309 label. A set under the Horselover Flats alias was the last show the artist played before Covid.
