Album Info

Release Date: 1991

Label: Crystal D

Liner Notes: Since the middle eighties, Derrick Harriott's Christmas Songbook, (a medley of twelve popular Christmas songs in Reggae style that also includes "Auld Lang Syne" making it a total of thirteen songs) has enjoyed enormous success right into the nineties. It was once a 12" Disco single, but it is now an album, along with other tracks like the Derrick Harriott original "Lonely at Christmas", that also features an instrumental version by the sensational saxaphone (sic) player Roland Alphonso of the "Skatalites" fame. Included also is Derrick's version of "Jesus was Born Today" and the instrumental of "Christmas Songbook". Singers featured with Derrick on "Christmas Songbook" are: 'The Tamlins', Joy White, 'Reasons' and 'U-Brown'.
