La Patrie Overture was recorded on March 24, 1958, in old Orchestra Hall, using one 201 and two M56 Telefunken microphones and first released as a part of SR90191. The Carmen and L'Arlésienne Suites were recorded in For Auditorium on November 8, 1956, with one 201 and two U47 Telefunken microphones and released as SR900001. The Mignon and Raymond Overtures, originally a part of SR90247, were recorded on November 19, 1960, in the Cass Technical High School Auditorium, using three Telefunken 201 microphones. All works were recorded on 3-track half-inch tape.
