This record is a reissue of two 10" albums, Dizzy Gillespie And His Operatic Strings - Dizzy Gillespie With Strings & Django Reinhardt - The Great Artistry Of Django Reinhardt. Both recordings were made in Paris, hence the new title "Jazz From Paris".

According to the sleeve notes this album contains the last recordings ever made of Django Reinhardt, recorded on April 5, 1952 at the Theatre Des Champs-Elysees.
