Thanks to the great success that the Apulian singer-songwriter had with the song Nel blu dipinto di blu in Sanremo in 1958, in the United States Jubilee Records decided to publish an album which contains some of the artist's songs sung in French when the latter was under signed in France with the Barclay label.

Many songs are adapted from Sicilian to French while others are exclusive songs written by the singer directly in French for the occasion.
