DIH suggest the LP is never stored in any type of protective outer cover and it should be allowed to get dirty and stained from handling, dust, etc and gradually over time become the unique artwork to your copy. The minimal design of the artwork and the type of card stock used were both chosen with this idea in mind. The initial idea for the artwork was inspired by second hand copies with dirty and worn sleeves of early 80s Industrial and Power Electronics LPs with similar minimal artwork such as Throbbing Gristle 'Second Annual Report', Whitehouse 'New Britain', M.B. 'Menses', etc.
