"The title of this record refers to the Tascam 424 four-track tape machine. Two songs - Scratchcard Lanyard and New Long Leg - were recorded at home using the Tascam during the first UK lockdown in April 2020. They premiered online with an accompanying video for the Seachange festival in May. John Wick and Unsmart Lady were recorded in October 2020 at Bermondsey Social Club, an empty venue we were using as a rehearsal space. The tape machine has four channels: drums, bass, guitar and vocals were recorded separately, one after the other - the simplicity of recording this way is fun and fast. We never thought they would get a physical release so we hope you enjoy!...Dry Cleaning"
