# 2-5: "Riff Staccato": The piece is wrongly attributed to Duke Ellington. According to ASCAP, it was written by Simon Schwartz and Milt Orient.
Track 2-26 is mysteriously credited as Ellington-Ellington, though it is almost universally credited to Mercer Ellington alone (though it was said to have been written by Johnny Hodges, who lost it to Mercer in a card game). There is also a lyric by Ted Persons, added at a later date. Verified by ASCAP research.
