Dysrythmia was initially a vocal-driven electronic-industrial collaboration between Benn Jordan and Rhik Gawel, but ended up being another one of Jordan's solo projects before any of the recordings were completed. After a short pressing of the single Clone in 1999, it had been 2 years since the full length album The Puncture had been completed and Jordan's contract with Metatone Records had expired. To Metatone's surprise (and disappointment), Jordan had become completely disconnected with the project and had no interest in ever releasing the full length album. Metatone instead released The Flashbulb - M³.
