Missing You by E'voke

Artists

Album Info

Release Date: 1997

Label: Pulse-8 Records

The inner sleeve contains a short press release stating that E'voke have had 'two virtual top 20 hits'. This is incorrect, as E'voke's only Top 40 hits at this point were 'Arms of Loren' and 'Runaway' that reached #25 and #30 respectively.

Due to label Pulse-8 going bankrupt, the track was eventually picked up and released by WEA. Track was to be distributed by BMG Records (UK).

Press release reads:

"With their uplifting songs, boundless vitality, eternal optimism and downright dirty laughs, Marlaine and Kerry make up the infectious force of e'voke.

If ever there were a perfect combination for a pure pop duo, then surely e'voke epitomise this image. With two virtual Top 20, radio-friendly, TV-exposed Hits firmly under their disco-diva-ing belts, they are determined to continue their sucess.

With the pedigree of the Sylvia Young stage school behind them, combined with down to earth backgrounds, Marlaine and Kerry, who have been inseperable since school days welcome hard work, revel in their energetic live performances and are united in their wicked humour and love of music.

Their next release will be on Pulse-8 records and is a hugely radio-friendly, dancceable, singable and all round irresistible, tip top tune...

...a record that they hope will broaden their market appeal and fuel their ambitions to take them even further up the dream ladder of chart success.

It is a re-working of the classic smash missing you now in the e'voke style!"

Track 4 is not an instrumental version as backing vocals are still audible.
