EAGLES - HOTEL CALIFORNIA IN CONCERT

SPECIAL EDITION PICTURE DISC

This vinyl release features highlights from the legendary Eagles concert on 6th November 1976 from The Summit in Houston broadcast live to support the forthcoming release of the 'Hotel California' album which appeared on 8th December 1976.

By 1976 Eagles were approaching their creative peak, Joe Walsh had recently joined as replacement for mandolin and banjo player Bernie Leadon, and the result was a more rock orientated experience. Eagles had just completed the recording 'Hotel California', the first to feature Walsh, when they hit the road to showcase a rockier the live set, which featured four Walsh songs.

However, the supporting promotional tour was extremely fractious, it led to founder member Randy Meisner leaving the band and laid the foundations for Eagles' fourteen year hiatus which began in 1979.
