Includes infosheet.Side A is a 2021 re-recording of the band's 1983 second demo.
Side B is the band's "Storming The Gates" EP from 2018.
is a nice example of Ear Danger connecting the past and the present. It contains the vinyl version of their EP, recorded with Sander Pastoor on vocals, as well as the second demo, re-recorded with the current line-up, after 40 years.
Many metalheads will remember the 1981 demo featuring Beelzebub's Friend, Give 'Em Hell, You Need Warmth and Still Going Strong for its massive wall of guitars and the airy, reverb-loaded vocals. The challenge while re-recording was to stick to the original concept while trying to give the songs an extra dimension. We, as a band, are happy with the result. Also, re-recording was a lot more pleasant then the original recording session, although we're not going to reveal the details of what went on in Studio Tanar in Rotterdam, where the recordings took place in 1982. It's no longer important, either. We're just happy that 40 years down the road, the songs are still very much alive and are still being enjoyed by a lot of people.
