"Corner Jam" is a collaboration album between Ebbe Funk and Freddy Schlender. The two producers know each other from their school days. They have always shared an irrepressible passion for music. In their latest collaboration, the northern German producers creatively exchanged ideas via the internet during the Corona Lockdown and developed a funky atmospheric retro sound, which is now even released as a limited edition tape.

Despite the distance between Kiel and Hamburg, Ebbe and Freddy have a telepathic, intuitive approach to picking up each other's vibe and complementing it with their respective strengths. Ebbe funk, with a knack for jazzy beats and funky synth or keyboard melodies, and Freddy, who adds chunky bass or rhythmic guitar single-note lines to the mix. With the flat sounds and heavy drums, together they form a perfect unit. Only one track is sample-based - "Filter Drive." The rest of the tracks are alive with live instruments.

This tape is best listened to while hanging out with friends on the corner, skateboarding with your walkman, or on long highway drives at night.
