There is actually a "matrix" or "release" number etched under the label on the 'A' side.

The sound quality is quite good, but you can hear "tape-deck" analogue compression that hints that the master source is at best a 1/4" tape or possibly even a high BIAS cassette. The tape speed is consistent throughout each track (an exception being "All My Colours", which has some noticeable speed warps), but certain tracks play back too fast (as much as 10% out of norm). The pressing itself is of extremely high quality. Even with those shortcomings, the track selection is fantastic and this album represents the band at their best. Absolutely essential listening for any Bunnymen fan and a highly welcome release.
