Limited to 50 copies."This material was recorded between March and April of 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic had reached Nebraska, and both myself and Jake were out of work and quarantined in our homes. We both lived downtown so during the first couple of weeks we would meet up to take his dog for a walk and discuss what we had been up to musically. But as the virus paranoia grew, our walks ceased and our interactions were limited. It was then that we decided to collaborate on some material, in an attempt to play music together despite being apart.
The original concept was to repress our 2017 split to cassette and include these collaborations as additional bonus tracks. Jake wrote the foundations to Suze and I wrote an accompaniment on top of it, and the reversal was done for Unfinished Drinks of Dead Sailors. We completed both songs (emailing them back and forth until we were satisfied) about one week before Jake passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident on May 3rd, 2020. After his passing, I decided it would be more appropriate to release these two tracks on their own as a sort of memorial of our last time writing music together. After nearly seven years of collaborations and performances, this was our final rehearsal. I'm honored to have been able to work with such a brilliant musician, and it is truly a privilege to join him on these final songs of his extraordinary career."
