Chry-ptus (1971, 2006 version), 23’10
— Premiered at the New York Cultural Center on April 6, 1971. Buchla Modular System on magnetic tape. Produced at the electronic studio of the New York University. 2006 Version produced by Giuseppe Ielasi in Milan. —
“‘Chry-ptus’ consists of two tapes played at the same time, synchronously or asynchronously (up to a minute of de-synchronization for each tape).
The de-synchronization does not affect the structure of the work, but creates endless variations, mainly through the interplay of harmonics.
Three versions were presented at the premiere of this work, including variations of amplitudes and/or de-synchronization.”
