In booklet:The vocals on this album are a mixture of English, Austrian dialects, emotional vocations, mantras and an obscure Zargonian dialect. For the latter, at the time of the production of this album neither a transcript nor a translation were available. Therefore only fragments of the lyrics are printed here. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask our audience politely to listen emotionally rather than intelectually to this second part of the Mondstein Chronicles.
We intentionally left some of the spontaneous conversations during and after our improvisations on the album so that you, the listener, can get a better impression about how we felt at the time the basis of this album, vocals, drums and piano, were created (winter 2003). This feature is also intended to emphasize the tongue-in-cheek element of this otherwise (at least partly) emotionally very dark music. I dedicate this work to the memory of my late friend Jörg Horner - one-of-a-kind artist, vocalist, flutist, and more.
All music written by Fuchs, Horner and Mister M. Lyrics of main vocals by Horner, female lyrics by Herderberg. Drums, piano and vocals recorded during a live jam session at the Rake Farmer Studio on 30th of December 2003. Other instruments recorded later on.
Mixed by Fuchs with input from all other musicians. Mastered at the Lake View Studio. Cover image, night sky and moon photographies by Jakob Woisetschläger (cover image shows the total eclipse from 1999), artistic booklet and inlay card images by Annemarie Hennig / Aenie Art Photography; artist photography courtesy of the respective artist except images of Jörg Horner and Peter Jaklitsch by Christian Bürgermeister; images of Johannes Boonstra, Johan van der Meer and Dominik Mittergradnegger by Maxime Remy, bunny rabbit painting by Elmar C. Fuchs.
Fiery Font letters and numbers by Mikhail Bakunovich / shutterstock.com, used under license.
Cover design by Fuchs. Parts of this album were released as demo (Mondstein 2: Ample Jazz) in 2004.
