Rare 1958 South African-only Elvis LP entitled Jailhouse Rock. There is an EP version of this album but only in SA was it on LP format. The first side is essentially the whole EP and the second contains well-known and previously released Elvis numbers of that period which were not part of the film.

Printed on thick cardboard, non-flipback single sleeve. Large pink rectangular box at the top right corner of front cover with RCA logo inside the shape and 31, 126 number in bold with 'POPULAR underneath (a later SA issue of this LP has this box in white) Has small ''SWAN PRESS'' print at the bottom of back cover and last 3 lines of interesting print at the back state the following:

'' Side 2 features old Presley favourites (how old can they be?) plus numbers not previously released in Southern Africa. ''

Centre label is the classic silver-on-black RCA (later SA issue is orange RCA Victor)
