Systems for Simulating Professional Music is a project wherein best-practice and lessons-learned from the petrochemical industry are repurposed and applied to the production of non-organic, leisure music. Drawing on selected cases of polymer development, complicated music production processes have been designed and carried out with a focus on maintaining the delicate balance between automated and manual feedback control systems to produce musically-useful base materials, which can be further processed into refined products potentially sellable to an end customer.
