Original version was packed in a printed and specially folded carton box container, with an insert with the track-listing. The cover insert came in two versions: white carton or blue paper both with red printing.

Recorded in August and September 1981. Produced for Trumpett Records & Tapes. Mixed in the "Dommisse bedroom".

A Trumpett internal memo from late 1981 mentions the recording of a dub version of the cassette album, called 'Dub From Outer Space' with the following tracklist: Dub From Outer Space, Alien Dub, Midnight Dub, The Day Dub Won, Dub Japanese, Dub People, Hangdub, Elephant's Cakedub, Zitronen Rioldub, Dub's Roots, Panzerdub 60m, Mein Dubchen, Der Blöde Dub, Dubbin' On The Tombstones, Vampidubba, Aerodub, My Mother Dubs Tupperware, Dub Bass, Elephant's Cakedub (Dub Version), Tupperdub. The last track was released the same year on the cassette 'Das Waren Ja Schlagers' on Trumpett subsidiary Bootleg Tapes. There is no evidence any of the other dub versions were ever recorded.
