Released in October 1903 as part of a series of Caruso records celebrating his upcoming engagement at the New York Metropolitan Opera where Caruso made his debut in a Rigoletto production on November 23, 1903. This record was withdrawn in February 1904 and replaced with the February 1, 1904 recording of the same aria on Victor 81032.
