In 1963 Eric Dolphy's "Conversations" was released on the small, independent Fred Miles label. These same tracks also surfaced on the 2-LP "Jitterbug Waltz" for the Douglas label. Presented here is the original set of songs that comprised "Conversations". Joining the alto saxophonist/bass clarinetist/flutist are such luminaries as Richard Davis, Woody Shaw, "Sonny" Simmons, Bobby Hutchinson, and Clifford Jordan.
